Four years in jail for Olds man convicted of sexual interference involving a youth
It’s four years in jail and a firearms prohibition for a man accused of abducting and sexually assaulting a central Alberta youth.
Dean Humphrey, 35, a resident of Olds, AB, was sentenced in Calgary Court of Justice on Dec. 4, 2024, after being convicted on one count of sexual interference. Charges of abduct person under 14, luring a child, and sexual assault were withdrawn. In addition, Humphrey is to have no contact with his victim.
Humphrey is to serve his sentence at the Bowden Institution where he will also receive psychiatric treatment.
It was on April 21, 2023, when Olds RCMP say they received a request to assist Edmonton Police Service (EPS) in locating a missing 13-year-old female.
