Sylvan Lake invites curious residents to info session on running for town council

The Town of Sylvan Lake will host a Council Information Night on Wednesday, Dec. 11 to give residents interested in running for the 2025 Municipal Election more information about the job.

The event will be held in council chambers at the Municipal Government Building from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Details will include, but are not limited to:

• Important details required for applying
• Time commitments
• Included duties
• Jurisdiction
• Boards and committees
• Important dates

Mayor Megan Hanson and members of council will be present to answer questions about the process and provide first-hand experiences of serving Sylvan Lake.
