83 PERMITS AT $23 MILLION

Red Deer building permits continue upward trend in November

For the third month in a row, the City of Red Deer reports that building permit values continued to climb in November, with 83 permits issued at a value of $23 million; in November 2023, there were 91 permits issued for a total of $9.3 million.

Additionally, year-to-date values remain higher this year, with current values at $128.6 million compared to $86 million at the same time last year.

Notable permits issued include:

  • Building permit for construction of a nutrient management facility at 7890 40 Avenue, valued at $15.8 million
  • Building permit for construction of ICU expansion at Red Deer Regional Hospital (3942 50A Avenue), valued at $3.1 million
  • Building permit for interior renovations to food store at 1-69 Dunlop Street, valued at $560,000
  • Building permit for construction of a new single family detached dwelling with front attached garage, covered rear deck and basement development at 2 Thorne Place, valued at $307,000
  • Building permit for construction of a new single family detached dwelling with attached garage, sun deck, screen room and covered veranda at 131 Everson Close, valued at $228,000
