RDP Queens Volleyball to be Inducted in Alberta Sports Hall of Fame

The Alberta Sports Hall of Fame has announced 12 Class of 2025 Inductees, including the Red Deer Polytechnic Queens Volleyball team (1981-1989).

The Class of 2025 includes athletes, coaches and builders who have demonstrated dedication to their respective sports, fostering pride across Alberta and Canada.

Between 1981 and 1989, the Red Deer College Queens Volleyball team won eight consecutive Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) Championships and earned eight Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) medals. The Queens achieved national gold in 1984.

The 2025 Induction Ceremony will be held at Red Deer Resort & Casino on June 7, 2025 when these individuals will be honoured for their outstanding contributions to Alberta’s sporting legacy.
