WIN A FAMILY RECREATION PASS

Ponoka releases Christmas Lights Tour map with bingo prize draw

Dec 3, 2024 | 3:50 PM

The Town of Ponoka has released its annual self-guided Christmas Lights Tour map for the 2024 holiday season.

The map is now available online and showcases festively decorated homes and yards throughout the community. Paper copies are also available at the Ponoka Aquaplex, Ponoka Arena Complex, and at the Town Office, on the second floor of the Ponoka Civic Centre.

One notable stop on the tour is the light display at Lions Centennial Park, which is scheduled to begin early this month. Town officials say more details are to come.

As an added layer to the light tour, residents and visitors are invited to participate in Christmas Lights Bingo, a scavenger hunt running through the month of December.

Participants can complete their bingo cards while exploring the town’s light displays and enter their completed sheet to win a family recreation pass to the Ponoka Aquaplex and Ponoka Arena Complex.

How to participate:

  1. Tour the lights: Use the Christmas Lights Tour map to guide your journey through Ponoka’s displays.
  2. Get a bingo card: Download your bingo sheet online, or grab a paper copy from the Ponoka Aquaplex, Ponoka Arena Complex, or at the Town Office, on the second floor of the Ponoka Civic Centre.
  3. Complete the card: Write the address for each item you find during the tour. Items in the centre of the card are wild/free spaces.
  4. Submit your entry: Drop your completed card in Santa’s mailbox at the Ponoka Aquaplex or email a photo of it to events@ponoka.ca.
  5. Win a prize: Completed cards will be entered into the draw.

Completed cards must be submitted by December 31.
