Maskwacis man wins $400,000 at WCLC ‘Big Spin’ event

Three Albertans were big winners Tuesday when they spun the Western Canada Lottery Corporation’s BIG SPIN wheel.

At a live event held in Calgary, three winners — two from The Big Spin, and one from The Bigger Spin — got to take their shot at hundreds of thousands of dollars.

The event took place at Deerfoot Casino.

• Colton S., the first-ever THE BIG SPIN top prize winner from Maskwacis, stepped up to spin the BIG wheel and won $400,000!

• Nhat N. of Fox Creek, got his chance to spin THE BIG SPIN wheel and took home $200,000!

• Ted W., from Stony Plain, spun his way to a $200,000 prize on THE BIGGER SPIN wheel!

“I couldn’t believe it at first. I was like, ‘Ah! Cool,'” said the Maskwacis man.

“Then when I spun the wheel and saw what I had won, I was pretty excited. I think my brothers have some ideas [on how to spend it].”

The man also said he wants to start a business.

The Big Spin and The Bigger Spin are $5 and $10 scratch tickets which offer people who scratch a ‘Spin Win’ the chance to spin the wheel during a live event held at a later date.
