Clearview Public Schools board of trustees talk improved testing results and holiday donations
A meeting of the Clearview Public Schools board of trustees Nov. 28, saw multiple donations from trustees to local Christmas initiatives, and an update on the district’s testing performance for 2023-24.
Clearview Public School’s Annual Education Results Report for 2023-24 highlighted positive trends in student performance in literacy and numeracy testing as a result of ongoing professional development and initiatives in the subjects.
Additionally, Provincial Achievement Tests in the district’s schools showed stable or improved results, with most courses trending up toward the Acceptable Standard. The report also noted “significant improvements” in Diploma Exam results.
During this meeting, donations were presented by trustees to the Stettler and District Food Bank, and CUPE 4292 president Danny Sumayo presented donations to both the Stettler Food Bank and Stettler Christmas Hamper Society. ATA Local 33 president Corey vanZanbergen also presented a donation to the Christmas Hamper Society.
