Stuff-A-Bus for Sylvan Lake Food Bank happening Dec. 7

The Sylvan Lake Food Bank will once again be the recipient of a Stuff-A-Bus event this Dec. 7, hosted by Red Deer Catholic Regional Schools.

The program was founded by bus driver Wayne Stade over 20 years ago and is a cherished tradition of the division.

School buses will be stationed at three convenient locations (in Sylvan Lake) from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Dec. 7 to collect donations:

• Walmart (3420 47 Avenue)
• Sobeys (3715 47 Avenue, #900)
• No Frills (70 Hewlett Park Landing)

“I got involved because I saw a need in my community and wanted to help,” says Stade. “Over the years, Stuff-A-Bus has become more than just a food drive — it’s an incredible way to meet new people and spread joy. The community’s generosity is always so heartwarming.”

Organizers are still seeking volunteers to assist during the afternoon shift, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Individuals or groups interested in helping out can contact Wayne directly at 403-318-9866.
