PBR Canada’s Elite Cup Series returns to Red Deer in February

The Professional Bull Riders (PBR) Canada’s Elite Cup Series is returning to Red Deer in the new year.

Officials made the announcement on Tuesday that for the fourth year in a row, the Peavey Mart Centrium will host the 2025 season-launch event with the PBR Red Deer Classic on Saturday, Feb. 1.

The action will get underway at 7 p.m. and tickets will go on sale on Nov. 15 at 10 a.m. Ticket prices start at $25 each and can be purchased at the Tickets Alberta box office at the Centrium or on TicketsAlberta.com.

The one-night event features some of the top bull riders from Canada and internationally going up against the best bulls in the nation.

At the 2024 event last February, Jake Gardner from Fort St. John, B.C.was crowned champion going two-for-two on his rides.

In the first round, he rode Highway to Heaven tying the second-best score of the opening round with 85 points.

He then sealed the deal in the championship with an 87-point ride on top of Broken Pearl.

His finish earned him 200 national points, which launced him from fifth overall to first in the early race for the 2024 PBR Canada Championship.
