Red Deer and area ready to remember
This Remembrance Day, Red Deer and surrounding areas have plenty of gatherings and ceremonies for you to honour and reflect on the many sacrifices made by Canada’s soldiers.
The Red Deer Legion invites the community to join in their powerful reminder of the true cost of war beginning at 10:30 a.m. at the Servus Arena (4725 43 Street). Whether you’re a veteran, a family member, or simply wish to pay your respects, the Legion welcomes you to stand with it in remembrance and reflection.
The Red Deer Museum and Art Gallery (MAG) will also be holding Remembrance Day activities. From noon to 4:30 p.m., it will feature collection artifacts related to military history, offer interpretive tours, and facilitate a family-friendly art project.
The MAG will also host a live string quartet performance by the Red Deer Symphony Orchestra. All MAG activities and the performance are free to attend.
