GenNext announces Central Alberta’s Top 40 Under 40

Nov 1, 2024 | 12:05 PM

GenNext, an affinity group of United Way Central Alberta, announced the inaugural class of the Top 40 Under 40 young professionals.

The list was created to highlight the remarkable accomplishments of 40 people across central Alberta including in Red Deer, Sylvan Lake, Lacombe, Penhold, and beyond.

“Central Alberta is home to exceptional young leaders driving innovation, creating lasting change, and shaping the future of our communities,” said Alexandria King, GenNext Co-Chair in a media release.

“This year’s 40 Under 40 honourees reflect some of the top leaders our region has to offer, with their diverse talents and unwavering commitment to their communities. From healthcare professionals and entrepreneurs to non-profit leaders and marketing managers, these individuals represent a broad spectrum of professions and passions.”

The full list can be found on the Central Alberta United Way website and feature many high-profile names including rdnewsNOW’s very own, Josh Hall.

Officials say the selection process for this year’s list was highly competitive with the top 40 selected by a committee.

The honourees will be recognized in an exclusive digital publication and will be individually acknowledged across GenNext’s social media accounts by the end of the year.

“As we celebrate these honourees, we’re reminded of the broader work of United Way Central Alberta—building relationships and mobilizing resources to meet our community’s needs and create thriving communities,” said Chelsea O’Donoghue, United Way Central Alberta CEO.

“40 Under 40 reflects this impact, recognizing talent and empowering the continued positive change they inspire.”
