Fire restriction lifted for County of Stettler

The fire restriction for the County of Stettler has been lifted as of 10 a.m. on Nov. 1 as a result of recent weather conditions.

Regular fire permit conditions will be in effect moving forward. Residents are asked to please consider the following:

Permit period is limited to 14 days.
Permit holder is responsible for the safe control of the burning.
Wind conditions must be less than 10 km/h.
Minimum of one responsible adult needs to be present at the burn site.
All brush piles burned during the winter month must be buried at the conclusion of the burning and covered with soil to ensure the fire cannot re-ignite.
Consideration must be given to neighbours to avoid discomfort as a result of burning.

New permits will be issued by contacting the County of Stettler No. 6 office during regular office hours.
