Red Deer Catholic students advance in Health Care Aide Program at RDP

Red Deer Catholic Regional Schools (RDCRS) is proud to announce that 20 of its students have opted to continue their studies in the Health Care Aide (HCA) program, which they began last year.

Students attended their first lab of the year the weekend of Oct. 26-27 at RDP’s downtown campus. RDCRS officials say this kind of hands-on experience is a critical component of the HCA program, providing students with the practical skills needed for success in the health-care field.

The students are scheduled to begin their first practicum placements in the summer of 2025, where they will gain experience working directly with patients and health-care professionals in clinical settings.

Once the program is completed, these students are on track to graduate in 2026, fully prepared to enter the workforce as certified Health Care Aides.
