The excellence in service at Red Deer’s Safe Harbour Society has been recognized with a commendation from Accreditation Canada.

Accreditation is a rigorous process which evaluates Safe Harbour’s operations, policies and procedures, and ranges from the emergency shelter to medical detox, and from the Indigenous Many Healing Blankets program to housing, outreach and diversion.

“Safe Harbour Society is proud to announce that it has successfully completed the accreditation process through Accreditation Canada,” says Perry Goddard, the organization’s new executive director.

“This significant achievement emphasizes our dedication to maintaining the highest standards of quality and excellence throughout the continuum of client-focussed services.”

Goddard adds that the accreditation validates Safe Harbour’s hard work and commitment to the complex needs of the city’s most vulnerable, adding that it confirms the significant social return on investment.
