Canadiens defenceman Barron listed day-to-day with upper-body injury
BROSSARD, Que. — Montreal defenceman Justin Barron is listed as day-to-day with an upper-body injury after missing the Canadiens’ practice Wednesday.
Forwards Joel Armia and Christian Dvorak and defenceman Mike Matheson also missed the session with what the team said were therapy days.
The Canadiens fell 7-2 to the New York Rangers on Tuesday at the Bell Centre, extending their losing streak to four games (0-3-1).
Barron left the game after a heavy hit from New York defenceman Jacob Trouba, while Matheson was ejected for instigating a fight with Trouba. Armia and Dvorak finished the game.
