This week, the Red Deer Polytechnic Kings Hockey team will kick off the 2024/2025 ACAC season against the SAIT Trojans.

The RDP Queens Hockey team will play a home-and-series against the Trojans.

Both Soccer squads will host the Ambrose University Lions in their final regular season games.

The RDP Rodeo team will compete at the Olds Fall Rodeo.

Queens at SAIT Trojans | Friday, October 18 | 6:45 p.m.

The fourth seed Red Deer Polytechnic Queens Hockey team (1-2) will challenge the third place SAIT Trojans (1-1) in Calgary.

Queens vs SAIT Trojans | Gary W. Harris Canada Games Centre | Saturday, October 19 | 7 p.m.

The RDP Queens will play the Trojans at the Gary W. Harris Canada Games Centre.

Kings vs SAIT Trojans | Gary W. Harris Canada Games Centre | Friday, October 18 | 7 p.m.

The Red Deer Polytechnic Kings Hockey team will host the SAIT Trojans to begin the new season.

The Kings are looking to make program history in 2024/2025 with sights on winning its third consecutive ACAC gold medal.

“Many of last year’s players, who were in their second, third, and fourth years, have now won the championship twice,” says Trevor Keeper, RDP Kings Hockey Head Coach. “These student-athletes are stepping up to a new level as they prepare for the upcoming season.”

Kings at SAIT Trojans | Saturday, October 19 | 7 p.m.

The RDP Kings will wrap up their two-game set against the Trojans in Calgary.

Soccer

Queens vs Ambrose University Lions | RDP Main Field | Saturday, October 19 | 12 p.m.

In the final regular season game, the second place Red Deer Polytechnic Queens Soccer team (8-3) will face the sixth seed Ambrose University Lions (2-6-2) at home.

The top three teams in each division will qualify for the postseason.

Kings vs Ambrose University Lions | RDP Main Field | Saturday, October 19 | 2 p.m.

The RDP Kings (5-2-2) will wrap up the regular season with a showdown against the sixth seed Lions (1-6-1). The Kings share top spot with the Lethbridge Polytechnic Kodiaks (5-2-2) in the ACAC Men’s Soccer South Division.

The top three teams in each division will qualify for the playoffs.

Rodeo | Olds Fall Rodeo | October 19-20

The Red Deer Polytechnic Rodeo team will look to continue its outstanding performances in Olds.
