AHS workshops offer tips and tricks for banishing mealtime struggles for kids

Alberta Health Services (AHS) is offering virtual workshops for parents and other caregivers designed to make snacks and mealtimes for children easier for all parties involved.

The following two workshops will be offered for free via Zoom:

Mealtime Struggles in School-Aged Children (for parents of children 6-12 years old)

This workshop teaches practical ideas meant to build your child’s comfort and confidence with more foods and enjoy more positive mealtimes. Practical tips will be given by a registered dietitian.

This session runs Oct. 24 from 7-8:30 p.m. and Nov. 5 from 1-2:30 p.m.

Goodbye Mealtime Struggles (for parents of children 1-5 years old)

A registered dietitian and occupational therapist will provide insight into various reasons behind mealtime struggles and help you find strategies to best fit your family.

The session runs on Oct. 17 from 1-3 p.m. and Nov. 21 from 1-3 p.m.
