Red Deer Hospital seeking visitor navigation volunteers

The Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre (RDRHC) is seeking volunteers for its wayfinding team to help visitors navigate the building amidst increasing construction activity.

Wayfinders are expected to help patients and visitors find appointments and provide general information and direction around the hospital. This service will become increasingly important as new entry points are created and programs and services are moved.

Representatives of the facility say volunteers should be mature and comfortable approaching people as they enter and exit the facility. They should also be able to move physically, and be comfortable pushing a wheelchair if the need arises.

Volunteers would be scheduled for one daytime shift per week, Monday to Friday. Additional shifts and hours may be discussed in the future if needed.
