Justine Larson

Justine Larson had yet another dominant performance on the cross country trails this past Saturday in Calgary. Grand Prix #4 was hosted by St. Mary’s University who will host the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) Championships in just a few weeks which gave Larson and the rest of the Queens a preview ahead of time. The fourth-year Bachelor of Education student was the first Queens runner to cross the finish line of the 6 km race. With a time of 26:17, she finished in sixth place amongst her fellow ACAC runners. After the results were tallied up, the Queens finished the day in second place with 43 points.

Since the first Grand Prix of the season, Larson has consistently finished in the top 10 and has shaved two minutes off her time. The Queens Cross Country team will have the weekend off from competition with the next Grand Prix of the season taking place in Camrose at the University of Alberta-Augustana Campus on October 12.
