Blackfalds raising funds for youth winter coat program

Community members are invited to Blackfalds for the Town’s Community Warmth Fall Fundraiser on October 3, which supports the Family and Community Support Services’ (FCSS) Winter Coat Program.
The program provides winter coats to children and youth in Blackfalds, and all funds raised that evening go towards supporting it.
“Any money that we raise will be considered a success because the goal is to use this money to ensure that Blackfalds children and youth have warm, well-fitting coats this winter,” said Jan Pocock, community engagement programmer for Blackfalds FCSS.
From 6-9 p.m. at the Blackfalds Community Centre, attendees can enjoy a poutine bar where they can build the ultimate poutine, as well as a live auction featuring desserts that have been donated by local businesses and home cooks, as well as wares donated by local artisans.
