An arrest has been made in connection with a central Alberta murder earlier this year.
24-year-old Chervaine Saddleback, a resident of Maskwacis, AB, was arrested by the RCMP Major Crimes Unit (MCU) on Sept. 28, 2024, and charged with second-degree murder in the death of 25-year-old Wyatt Omeasoo, also of Maskwacis.
It was on Jan. 28, 2024, at 11:30 a.m., when Maskwacis RCMP were called to assist EMS with a 25-year-old male. Mounties say the male was transported to hospital where he was declared deceased. Police say the circumstances of the victim’s death were considered suspicious.
