Ponoka RCMP searching for two suspects in break-in and robbery

Mounties in Ponoka are looking for two suspects following a break-in and robbery this week.

In the early hours of Sept. 24, 2024, Ponoka RCMP say they received a report of a robbery at the Dollarama in Ponoka.

Mounties say their investigation revealed that two suspects broke into the store during the night. When staff entered the store in the morning, they were approached by the two masked suspects who allegedly stole the victim’s phones and currency from the store.

According to police, the two suspects were observed communicating to a third suspect who is believed to have been waiting outside the store. RCMP say the suspects vacated the store in an unknown vehicle. Police conducted a search of the area and the victims phones were located outside.

Mounties say the victims were not injured during the robbery and no weapons were produced.
