Central Alberta Film Festival hits the big screen

Sep 23, 2024 | 5:07 PM

Grab your popcorn and take your seats for the eighth annual Central Alberta Film Festival (CAFF), coming to Red Deer October 2-5.

Movies will be screened at two theatres at Carnival Cinemas, and only two films have overlapping showtimes.

“That means audiences can see more of the films that have caught their interest when viewing the schedule online,” said Ranjit Mullakady, CAFF president.

Tickets are $15 per day and $50 for all four days.

There will also be a Red Carpet Gala Awards Ceremony on October 5 at the Red Deer Resort and Casino, where for $75, attendees can network with industry professionals, enjoy an awards ceremony, and indulge in some sweet and savoury appetizers.

“If you are a movie lover, this is your chance to easily watch films you can’t usually see in most theatres. Central Alberta Film Festival is a simple and affordable introduction to independent films,” said Mullakady.

A film schedule and tickets can be found online.
