Puck drops on BCHL season Friday night
It’s go-time for the B.C. Hockey League’s 2024-25 season, and for the first time featuring regular season games between teams from Alberta and B.C.
The league champion Surrey Eagles did play a one-off series earlier this spring against the Brooks Bandits for league supremacy, with the Bandits coming out on top.
“We are excited to drop the puck tonight on the 63rd season of the BCHL,” said league Commissioner Steven Cocker. “With our five Alberta teams fully integrated and a player pool that’s never been better, 2024-25 is sure to be one of our league’s best seasons yet.”
Featuring in the action on opening night are the Blackfalds Bulldogs, who host the Sherwood Park Crusaders at the Eagle Builders Centre. Puck drop is set for 7 p.m.
