This past week, the RDP Soccer teams had a productive weekend on the road.

Here is a summary of the recent results:

Red Deer Polytechnic Queens at Medicine Hat College | Saturday, September 14

The RDP Queens Soccer team handed the Rattlers an 8-2 loss. In addition to McKenna Leslie’s three goals and two assists, Queens captain Alisha Coules (Open Studies) added one goal and one assist.

The Queens (3-1-0) defeated the Kodiaks (2-2-0) by a 2-1 margin. Stettler’s Coules and Red Deer’s Olivia Lundell recorded goals in the victory.

RDP Kings at Medicine Hat College | Saturday, September 14

The Red Deer Polytechnic Kings Soccer team downed the Rattlers 3-2 in Medicine Hat. Captain Ajdin Sarcevic (Business Administration) scored one goal and Grant Johnson (Open Studies) added a pair of markers for RDP.

Kings at Lethbridge Polytechnic | Sunday, September 15

The RDP Kings (1-1-2) played to a 2-2 draw against the first place Lethbridge Polytechnic Kodiaks (3-0-1). Calgary’s Jaxon Fernandes and Red Deer’s Sarcevic scored for the Polytechnic.

This Week in Red Deer Polytechnic Athletics

This weekend, both the RDP Kings and Queens Soccer teams will play in Olds. The Red Deer Polytechnic Cross Country Running team will participate in Grand Prix #3. Several teams will also partake in exhibition games.

Red Deer Polytechnic Queens at Olds College | Saturday, September 21 | 12 pm

The second place Queens Soccer team (3-1-0) will face the fourth seed Broncos (1-2-1) at Olds College.

RDP Kings at Olds College | Saturday, September 21 | 2 pm

The third seed Red Deer Polytechnic Kings Soccer team (1-1-2) will play the fourth place Olds College Broncos (0-1-2) on the road.

Cross Country Running | Grand Prix #3 | Lethbridge Polytechnic | Saturday, September 21

The RDP Cross Country Running team will look to continue its early season success at Grand Prix #3 in Lethbridge. At Grand Prix #1, the Queens earned first and the Kings placed third, setting the stage for another outstanding season. The team elected not to compete in Grand Prix #2.
