St. Patrick’s Community School part of Indigo book fundraiser

St. Patrick’s Community School in Red Deer has been selected to participate in the Indigo Love of Reading Foundation’s ADOPT A SCHOOL fundraiser.

From September 13 through October 4, every dollar raised through the program at Indigo Red Deer and at the school will go directly to filling school shelves with new and diverse books.

“Access to literature is a lifeline for students, offering a pathway to knowledge, empathy, and opportunities. Books provide a bridge to diverse perspectives, inspire resilience, and empower these students to dream beyond their circumstances, unlocking a world of possibilities,” said Mandy Reed, St. Patrick’s Community School Principal.

“The Love of Reading is not just an investment in education; it’s a catalyst for lifelong success, opening new avenues for our students and ensuring a brighter future for our community.”

Students were Indigo Red Deer on Saturday to promote the fundraiser.
