The annual Dawe Run is back for Red Deer Public Schools, taking place Tuesday, Sept. 17.

Upwards of 5,000 students in Grades 4-12 will participate in this year’s Dawe Run, which is in its fourth decade.

Details

  • Tuesday, September 17 at 10:30 a.m. (heats will take place every 15 minutes with the final runners taking off at 1:30 p.m.)
  • Heritage Ranch (6300 Cronquist Dr.) – start of the race
  • Setters Place at Great Chief Park (4707 Foundation Drive) – finish line

“This organized run, which follows a scenic route through the river valley, promotes fitness while accommodating both the recreational and competitive runner,” the division says.

“The run is hosted by G.H. Dawe and St. Pat’s Schools. The run starts in the field below Heritage Ranch, along the paved path, and ends at Bower Ponds. The finish line is on the football field with the artificial turf.”
