Scotia Wealth hosting big car show for Red Deer Food Bank on Sept. 7

Aug 27, 2024 | 12:05 PM

A fun family-friendly event is coming up soon in support of the Red Deer Food Bank, and hosted by The Zukiwsky Group at Scotia Wealth Management.

The first ever ‘Carnivore Car Show’ is free and it goes Sept. 7 from 12-8 p.m. outside the Alberta Sports Hall of Fame (100-4200 QEII Highway).

There will be food trucks, live music by Dean Morrison, face-painting, prizes, a 50/50, and of course a food drive to collect as many non-perishable items as possible for the food bank. Attendees can also make monetary donations.

Dion Zukiwsky, branch manager, says his group is a big believer in giving back to the community.

“We all support different causes here, but really wanted to focus on the food bank with this as it’s had an incredible increase in demand the last couple years,” says Zukiwsky, noting demand for hampers has essentially doubled.

“We felt it was important to bring awareness to them and make sure they’re well-supported to continue doing the important work they’re doing for Red Deer.”

Register for the car show or purchase an all-you-can-eat food truck wristband by scanning the QR code below.
