RCMP investigating alleged 2022 sexual assault at downtown Red Deer bus station

Red Deer RCMP are investigating a sexual assault which allegedly occurred in November 2022.

RCMP learned of the alleged assault in June 2024 while speaking to a youth about an unrelated matter.

The assault is said to have occurred to the youth while waiting for public transit at the downtown transit terminal. The female was approached by a male with a knife who then forced her into a truck where the assault took place, police say.

RCMP are providing a composite sketch of the victim (seen above).

• Approximately 20-30 years-old
• Light complexion
• Blue eyes, brown “scruffy” hair with a mustache
• Flower tattoo on his forearm
• Driving a black four-door Ford truck with grey seats and wood trim inside
