Tourism Red Deer launches local attractions pass

Tourism Red Deer has launched a Red Deer and Central Alberta Attractions Pass, a digital pass designed to enhance tourism, boost local engagement, and elevate the central Alberta visitor experience.
Launched on August 21, the pass provides special discounts and offers at 13 participating venues, as well as an opportunity to earn rewards.
“This pass is a wonderful opportunity to showcase the incredible attractions we have in Central Alberta,” said Jesse Smith, Tourism Red Deer CEO. “Not only does it encourage visitors and locals to explore more of what our region has to offer, but it also supports our local businesses by driving traffic their way. We’re excited to continue developing additional passes in the future, such as a Winter Pass and a Foodie Pass, as Central Alberta has so much more to showcase!”
The pass was designed to offer a “gamified” experience by adding a competitive element; Visitors can earn 100 points for checking in at local businesses using GPS tracking and can earn an additional 50 points by redeeming discounts at participating venues. Points can then be redeemed for Red Deer swag or accumulated to enter into a grand prize package.
