Registration starts this week for fall swimming lessons at Ponoka Aquaplex

Early registration for fall swimming lessons opens this Thursday, August 22 at the Ponoka Arena Complex.

The early registration takes place during the Community Registration and Job Fair event from 3 to 7 p.m. at the curling rink.

Ponoka Aquaplex staff will be on site at the Town of Ponoka booth. Staff will be accepting swimming lesson registrations and will be available to answer questions about fall programming at the Aquaplex.

Citizens can also register on Friday, August 23 starting at 8 a.m., online on the Town of Ponoka’s website at www.ponoka.ca/p/aquaplex or in-person at the Ponoka Aquaplex (5315 46 Avenue).

A full list of available swimming lessons can be found at www.ponoka.ca/p/aquaplex.

Paper copies of that list are also available at the Aquaplex. Fall swimming lessons will begin in late- September.

Swim for Life® Programming

All swimming lessons and advanced programming at the Ponoka Aquaplex are delivered through the Swim for Life program through the Lifesaving Society. To determine your child’s swim level in the Swim for Life program, parents and guardians are encouraged to review the transition chart at www.ponoka.ca/p/aquaplex.

Paper copies of the transition chart are also available at the Ponoka Aquaplex. If you are still unsure of your child’s skill level, the Ponoka Aquaplex offers free swim assessments during public swims.
