Aug 21, 2024 | 4:13 PM

Two people are facing drug-related charges after local Mounties located and arrested an individual wanted on outstanding warrants this week.

On August 20, 2024, at approximately 5:00p.m., Red Deer RCMP Crime Reduction Team, with the assistance of the Central Alberta Crime Reduction Unit and RCMP Air Services, arrested two individuals in the Inglewood neighbourhood of Red Deer.

Mounties say officers were conducting patrols within Red Deer and located a driver that was prohibited and wanted on warrants. As the investigation continued, police say officers located methamphetamine and cocaine in their possession, along with items consistent with drug trafficking.

As a result of the investigation, RCMP say two individuals have been arrested, including 24-year-old Red Deer resident Samuel Beaver-Hawman, who has been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking and driving while prohibited. Then there’s 32-year-old Chelsea Crowley, a resident of Rocky Mountain House, who is charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking.

As both are currently awaiting Judicial Interim Release Hearings, Mounties say no additional information on the suspects is available at this time, but an update is expected.
