United Way Central Alberta has announced its first-ever 5km run, taking place at Heritage Ranch in Red Deer on Sunday, September 22, 2024.

Residents are invited to a morning of fitness, fun, and meaningful impact starting at 10 a.m. The event is family-friendly and open to participants of all ages and fitness levels, as you can run or walk through the beautiful Heritage Ranch scenery.

“We’re excited to bring the community together for this special event,” said Chelsea O’Donoghue, CEO of United Way Central Alberta. “This run is an exciting new addition kicking off of our annual fundraising campaign and provides a fantastic opportunity to support the vital programs that uplift our friends and neighbours across Central Alberta.”

Registration is $35 but free for children 10 and under. Registration or donations can be made here.

Money raised through the event will help fund local programs that address urgent community needs in an effort to create communities where everyone has access to the resources, opportunities, and support they need to thrive.
