New Nurse Station, Six New Showers

Shelter renovations complete at Safe Harbour

Officials with Safe Harbour Society say they’re excited to share that their recent shelter renovations have been successfully completed.

As of August 12, officials say their new nurse station is fully operational, providing ongoing medical care for their guests. Six new showers have also been installed, significantly improving personal hygiene and helping control bodily pests.

Safe Harbour officials say their new intake office offers a private space for welcoming new intakes, and the dedicated staff break room is now a much-needed retreat for their team.

While the separate sleep and awake programs are still in progress, officials note they will soon provide distinct spaces for rest and activity.
