Lighthouse Park in Sylvan Lake temporarily closing for maintenance

Sylvan Lake’s Lighthouse Park will close on September 3 for maintenance.

Town officials say the work is expected to last three weeks, depending on weather conditions.

Work to be done includes:

• Removal and replacement of the concrete apron around the lighthouse
• Construction of a retaining wall
• Maintenance of the lookout and sitting area
