A Third Of Community Destroyed
Jasper residents returning home
Aug 16, 2024 | 4:41 PM
Residents of Jasper, Alberta, are returning home after a massive wildfire forced them out over three weeks ago.
The fires destroyed more than 300 buildings, which equates to 800 housing units.
The question now is where some people will live as the Rocky Mountain resort town rebuilds.
Alberta Municipal Affairs Minister Ric McIver is urging residents fill out a survey to see if there is any extra space available in homes that are still standing.
