Ponoka Aquaplex closing in fall for annual maintenance

The Ponoka Aquaplex will be closed to the public from September 3-16 for annual maintenance.

“We appreciate the understanding and patience of our community during this essential maintenance period,” said Andrew Jones, manager of parks, recreation and facilities. “This annual maintenance closure allows us to ensure that everything is in top condition and ready to serve our patrons for the busy year ahead once we reopen.”

Regular operations are expected to resume on September 17.

Some of the work to be done includes a deep cleaning of all areas in the facility, and inspection of equipment and necessary repairs to maintain facility standards.
