Central Alberta golfers wrap up at Alberta Women’s Senior Championship

Central Albertans had good showings at this week’s Alberta Women’s Senior Championship at Pine Hills Golf Club in Rocky Mountain House.

Lacombe’s Lynn Kuehn had the top local finish, placing 5th and shooting +18, 10 strokes off the pace of the eventual winner.

Carla Jean Smith, also of Sylvan Lake, placed 20th, shooting +43.

Cathy Spicer of Olds shot +47 for a 22nd place finish, Marg Bergsma of Sundre finished 23rd at +47, and Innisfail’s Caroline Tester finished 34th at +60.

Lastly, Bonny Leenstra of Ponoka shot +89 for a 6th place finish.
