Update: Sylvan Lake Waste Transfer Site garbage disposal reopening July 24

Officials with the Town of Sylvan Lake say the Waste Transfer Site is returning to normal operations on July 24, 2024.

Starting Wednesday, the Waste Transfer Site will no longer accept large loads of tree branches or trunks. The Town says large loads of branches and trunks can be taken to the City of Red Deer landfill.

Garbage services reopening July 24, 2024, 9:00 a.m.:

• Garbage disposal at the Waste Transfer Site
• Weigh scales
• Small loads of tree branches (pickup truck or smaller)

Services reopening July 23, 2024, 9:00 a.m.:
