Fire Ban issued for County of Stettler

A Fire Ban goes into effect at 4:00 p.m. today for the County of Stettler No. 6.

• Extinguish ALL fires.
• The ignition of new fires is prohibited.
• Inspect your equipment regularly – Off highway vehicles and farming equipment can start wildfires. INSPECT all off highway vehicles and farm equipment frequently to ensure hot spots are free of debris, and ensure spark arrestors are working properly.

This fire ban includes but is not limited to:

• Recreational fires
• Burn Barrels
• Discharge of fireworks
• Use of exploding targets
• Charcoal BBQs
