Thousands of people lined the streets of downtown Red Deer Wednesday morning for the annual Westerner Days Parade.

The event featured dozens of floats representing numerous agencies, organizations, community groups, and local businesses, among others.

The Westerner Days parade is the kick-off to central Alberta’s largest event each summer – Westerner Days, which takes place July 17-21, 2024. Tens of thousands of people are expected to attend the five-day fair.

Westerner Days at Westerner Park features midway rides, games, live music, free entertainment, nightly pony chuckwagon races, great food, vendors, and much more.
