Jul 12, 2024 | 12:16 PM

The Westerner Days parade will take place on Wednesday, July 17, 2024. Motorists are advised of multiple road closures and traffic detours, as well as transit disruptions that may impact commutes.

Road closures along the parade route will start at 6 a.m., with physical barriers established and no through traffic beginning no later than 8:30 a.m. City officials say roads will reopen at approximately 1 p.m., and on-street parking will resume. Please note, these road closures will be strictly enforced in the interest of public safety.

Transit disruptions during the parade include:

  • The last departure from Sorensen Station prior to the parade will be at 8:15 a.m.
  • Busses into downtown during the parade will drop passengers off as close as possible to Sorensen Station. No busses will remain at Sorensen Station.
  • The first departure from Sorensen Station after the parade will be determined by the reopening of the roads.
