Unique retail clothing concept opens in Gasoline Alley

Style Encore, a new unique resale clothing concept, for both men and women, is hosting its grand opening from July 11-14 at 150 Leva Avenue (Unit 104) in Gasoline Alley.

Shop owners say the store will carry affordable, gently used casual and business clothing, shoes, handbags and accessories.

The concept has a focus on being fashion forward and sustainable.

Local owner Mike Simmerson is inviting guests to stop into Style Encore in Red Deer to experience the following each day of the grand opening:

• First 25 customers in line will receive a $10 gift card
• Customers can enter to win a $200 gift card to a local business

“Women and men like to have trendy, fashionable pieces in their closet for every occasion, so our goal is to make Style Encore the preferred store for bargain hunters and those who are environmentally conscious,” says Simmerson.

“Style Encore provides women and men the resource to sell items they no longer wear, get paid cash on the spot and then turn around and purchase new items at a tremendous value – up to 90 percent off regular retail prices.”

Available brands will include Ann Taylor, Banana Republic, Chico’s, Coach, Gap, Talbots, and Lululemon, among others.

No appointments are necessary to sell items.

Style Encore is a part of Winmark-the Resale Company, which also owns Play It Again Sports, Plato’s Closet, and Once Upon A Child. A spokesperson says the new store will not impact any of the others with locations in Red Deer.
