Second jury trial scheduled for Ponoka man accused of human trafficking and sexual assault
A second jury trial has now been scheduled for a Ponoka man accused of human trafficking and sexual assault.
Christopher Becks, 38, is scheduled for a second jury trial in Wetaskiwin Court of King’s Bench from Sept. 8-12, 2025. He is also scheduled for another jury trial in Edmonton Court of King’s Bench from May 12-16, 2025.
Becks is charged with trafficking in persons, material benefit, advertise sexual services, sexual assault, overcoming resistance to commission of offence, and uttering threats to cause death, in his Edmonton jury trial.
Those charges are in addition to counts of trafficking in young persons, procuring, material benefit from sexual services, advertise sexual services, and publication of an intimate image without consent.
