Red Deer home sales on the rise in May

Red Deer saw an increase in home sales last month when compared to the month before and year-over-year.

According to the latest Market Report from Central Alberta Realtors Association, there were 226 home sales in Red Deer last month, up from 203 in April, and 218 in May of last year.

Year-to-Date figures show 785 home sales in Red Deer so far this year, up from 741 to this point in 2023.

The average sale price in Red Deer in May was $400,990, up from $378,775 in April, and $328,656 in May 2023.

The average number of days to sell a home in Red Deer in May was 31 days, down from 35 days in April, and 46 days in May of last year.
