$5.7 Million In May

Red Deer building permit values lower in May but higher year-over-year

Building permit values in the city of Red Deer decreased in May, with 92 issued permits valued at $5.7 million, compared with 104 permits issued in May 2023 worth $7.8 million.

However, year-to-date values remain higher in 2024, with current values at $56.9 million, compared with $35 million at this time last year.

City officials say notable permits include:

• Building permit for renovations and exterior door replacement at 4920 51 Street, valued at $1.1 million

• Building permit for interior and exterior renovations at 4711 51 Avenue, valued at $350,000
