Central Alberta Children’s Festival returns to Red Deer
For two days, Rotary Recreation Park will be transformed into an engaging environment with more than 40 activities for children to explore the arts, and foster creativity and imagination.
On May 31 and June 1, families can head downtown to dance, check out the pioneer village, ninja obstacle course, Imaginate, glitter tattoos, and many more activities that the community planning committee has arranged.
There will also be live shows featuring Christopher Cool, a comedic and family-friendly magician; Music with Mandy, a show that uses jazz music to teach self-love, empathy, and respect; and the Fizzlewit’s Fairy Finding Tours, an enchanting treasure hunt that takes participants through miniature fairy gardens as they solve puzzles.
Families are welcome to bring their own lunches, or purchase hot dogs and chips from the barbecue. Admission is $10 per person and $35 per family, but they will only be taking cash at the gates, and the barbecue.
