May 6, 2024 | 4:15 PM

Central Alberta Pregnancy Care Centre media release –– The Central Alberta Pregnancy Care Centre is hosting its second annual Ladies’ Afternoon Tea. Guests will enjoy an afternoon filled with tasteful tea, delectable pastries, and inspiration as we raise funds to support the CAPCC maternity home, The Aerie, on Saturday, May 25, at CrossRoads Church Chapel in Red Deer.

The Central Alberta Pregnancy Care Centre provides compassionate support and education to individuals and families impacted by unexpected pregnancy and its effects. All CAPCC programs and services are free and confidential and are offered in a safe and non-judgmental environment regardless of age, gender, race, or religion. Women, men, and families can access various support services within the Red Deer, Rocky Mountain House, and Stettler communities. These include pregnancy options support, male mentorship, baby and maternity clothing, post-abortion support, support for past sexual abuse/trauma, parenting programs, education on healthy relationships, and referrals for community resources

Our Red Deer location also has a maternity home for pregnant mothers and mothers and babies. It is a two-phase program offering a nurturing home, supporting healthy pregnancy and positive parenting. The Aerie is staffed 24/7 and can accommodate up to 11 young women and their infants. During their pregnancy, eligible residents enter phase 1 of the program and move into phase 2 when their infant is approximately six months old. Residents who continue to meet program outcomes are invited to stay until their child is about two years of age as they continue to pursue education or employment while strengthening their parenting and life skills.

Tickets are available here.
