Olds Grizzlys hire new manager of business operations

Kevin Watson, a longtime fixture of the Red Deer broadcasting scene, is joining the AJHL’s Old Grizzlys as manager of business operations.

Watson brings over 30 years of experience in media to the club, including a wealth of business knowledge.

“I moved to Red Deer to work in radio the spring of 1990, and the following hockey season it was part of my job to cover the Grizzlys every home game, then travel with the team on the road as well as in the playoffs,” Watson shares.

“That of course all started a great run with the team that lasted for five years, and I made lifelong friends with many of the players. So to get the opportunity to join the team after all these years, things have come full circle.”

Josh Erdman, Grizzlys president, notes that Watson has been the nominator for two Grizzlys-related Hall of Fame inductions.
