New rideshare company launching in Red Deer to hold virtual info session

May 1, 2024 | 9:32 AM

Uride is joining Uber and local taxis in the Red Deer ridesharing marketplace, and it’s holding a virtual info session May 2.

Uride, based in Thunder Bay, was founded in 2017 by former Canadian and Italian pro soccer play Cody Ruberto, and it focuses on smaller markets that are overlooked by the industry’s bigger players, the company says in a release.

“We are excited to introduce our services to the area, providing top-notch transportation solutions and substantial earning opportunities for local drivers,” says Ravi Dhami, Western Regional Operations Manager.

“Our team is looking forward to bringing our commitment to safety, community, and affordability to Red Deer. We can’t wait to get on the road.”

The info session is scheduled for 5 p.m. on May 2, in anticipation of a summer launch.

It will feature a Q&A with Dhami, the company notes.
